Ramps & Steps

SG have developed a well-respected range of ramps to allow wheelchairs, stretchers, personnel and wheeled goods to be loaded into and unloaded from vehicles with confidence and ease. This includes the highly successful SG Easyload ramp as fitted into the majority of new NHS and private A&E ambulances.

Our range includes manual and electrically operated systems, with rotating, linear, folding or telescopic movement. As with all SG products they are innovative in design and operation, are of high quality and are superbly reliable. All feature high quality anti-slip surfaces, are manufactured from corrosion resistant materials and typically have safe working loads of up to 500kg. We have standard products to suit a large range of vehicles and are continually developing and testing new systems.

Steps

SlimStep - NEW PRODUCT
The recently launched SG SlimStep, patent applied for, is a ground breaking access step system. Its unique design enables the complete unit to be mounted into a floor thickness of 20mm. As such it can be mounted inside a vehicle, fitted into the floor panel, without any need to cut or drill into the vehicle floor pan. This preserves the structural integrity and corrosion resistance of the base vehicle and as the SlimStep is mounted inside the vehicle it is protected from underbody damage and road dirt.

When deployed, the SlimStep drops to a height approximately 50% between the road surface and the vehicle internal floor height. Passengers and personnel therefore have two evenly spaced relatively small steps to enter or exit the vehicle, this is particularly suitable for less mobile persons. The SlimStep is manufactured from corrosion resistant material, has a safe working load of 250Kg and is designed to suit a large number of popular vehicles.
